Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your background?
I am Joana Braga (@jfabraga), 32 years old Portuguese-born, Iceland-based professional FPV/drone pilot, filmmaker, and Industrial Design Lead of prosthetic limbs. As a Senior Transportation Designer, I’ve worked on developing airplane cabin interiors, luxury yachts, buses and coaches, and complete train carriages. Quite a mix, right?
Now I channel my creativity into designing bionic legs by day and chasing adrenaline-fuel-filled moments with my fleet of drones by “night” (in Iceland summer nights never gets dark!).
I’m proud to challenge the norms in fields often seen as “manly,” to break some barriers inspiring other women too.

How did you become an ambassador for OZZ Lights?
Oh, I remember OZZ first Giveaway + my urgent need for good lights for my trusty Landcruiser during the darkest days in Iceland = me taking a chance to participate, even though I never win Instagram giveaways…
But guess what? I didn’t win, but I gained a family: OZZ family! Björn embraced me into his incredible vision for OZZ, and I couldn’t be prouder to be part of it!
What do you enjoy most about being part of the OZZ Lights team?
I don’t see everyone as just a team, it feels more like an adventurous family and a group of supportive friends who share laughs, trust each other, and confidently deliver high-end products. OZZ takes it to an innovative level, building a vision that perfectly aligns with my content creation style and adventurous spirit.
What vehicle do you currently drive/ride?
I currently drive a trusty 2003 Toyota Land Cruiser 120 Prado VX with plenty of proud kilometers on it. It’s been my reliable companion for three years, taking me to every corner of Iceland, and here’s to many more years of adventures ahead!
Can you describe any modifications or customizations you’ve made to your vehicle?
When I first got the car, it was a boring standard model… So I had to give it some personality! I added new tires, roof rack, and accessories. After a little black-ice slide crash (oops), I got a new headlight, bumper and grill.
Also added a snorkel, hood fender flare and a custom-made bullbar just for the cherry on top and greatest acquisition: 2 x OZZ XR2 P7” driving lights and 1 x OZZ XB1 P20” LED bar!
For the interior, I designed some curtains and window reflectors, built an aluminum structure with some wood inside. Throw in IKEA mattresses, pillows and some Christmas lights, and ta-dah – it’s a camper conversion! So then when I traveled with a tent on top was an 8-seater, 6-bed hotel on wheels! Crazy, right?
How do OZZ Lights products enhance your vehicle’s performance or appearance?
In my mind, my car got a 10-year facelift, it now looks like a younger version of itself, rather than my trusty 22 years old buddy! Honestly, and not just because I’m part of the OZZ family, I have no idea how I managed to drive before having these lights…! Their performance in the dark is truly impressive!
Now I’m always looking for excuses to use them, whether by signaling friends on the road, pretending to be the police when someone’s driving like a maniac, or lighting up the trail during off-road adventures. They’ve completely transformed both the look and functionality of my car!

What is your favorite product from OZZ Lights and why?
I love the OZZ XR2 P7” for their sleek Design. The ability to choose either white or amber position lights is a plus, and even though being smaller compared to OZZ XR2 P9” I am so impressed with the range and the color. It´s not a flash white reflecting all over, specially on the snow. It has some slight warmth in it that it´s comfortable to drive with.
How has this product improved your driving experience?
Improved in such way can´t go back now. In Icelandic winter darkness, night turns into day. Especially when off-roading and as a slow driver, I can comfortably be challenged to drive faster as I can see way ahead the road conditions.
Are there any new OZZ Lights products you’re excited to try?
Honest answer: anything my car can fit, I’m in! I’d love to try the OZZ XB1 P40” LED bar on top and I’ve also been considering the OZZ WR1 65 as ditch lights, but I’m especially excited to see what future products OZZ has in store for ditch lights. Honestly, I’d love to set up those around the roof rack to get better visibility when photographing or camping in the darkest conditions, especially for backing up or navigating tricky spots at night.
What advice would you give to someone looking to upgrade their vehicle’s lighting?
First, get a good large bullbar, it’s the perfect excuse to fit more lights. I wish I’d thought of that earlier. Any upgrade is a unique experience, and with the right setup, it can completely transform your adventures.
Can you share a memorable experience you’ve had with OZZ Lights products?
I can’t even count how many compliments I’ve gotten about the lights and how cool my car looks with them. It’s amazing driving around Iceland and getting messages like ‘Those lights are awesome!’ or ‘I saw your car with some cool lights!’. It’s such a great feeling to know the setup stands out.
What are your hobbies or interests outside of the automotive world?
When I’m not flying drones for fun or work, I’m photographing, hiking, traveling, exploring, camping, or off-roading – I know, still counts as automotive. As a petrolhead, it’s hard to stay away from anything with wheels. I also used to dance and play the instruments like violin, and I’m slowly getting back into music. With the right people around, it’s all coming back to me.
